Four dancers wearing colorful costumes are captured mid-jump in unison.

Petty Bison

Thomas Vantuycom

Petty Bison brings four dancers together in a rich, full-bodied exploration of choreography and composition. With flair and fiery presence, they plunge into an abundant world of movement — bursting with rapid shifts, vivid rhythms, and unrestrained physicality. They revel in “too muchness”: many ideas, many gestures, an overflow of energy. The result is choreography turned up to its highest intensity.

At its core, Petty Bison celebrates the power and beauty of finely crafted dance: dance that delights in tiny details within sweeping motions; dance that draws joy from bold musicality; dance that is shared, witnessed, and felt together. The work invites us to experience not only what the dancers do, but also how our own gaze moves through the performance.

Above all, Petty Bison is a love letter to dance itself.
